Registration is just inside the door of the building to the right. But, please do not hesitate to ask one of our Welcome Team members if you need assistance.

What can I expect during your Sunday service?

We begin our service with a worship song followed by the message, applying Biblical truth to everyday life. The message is followed by about 25 minutes of worship, a time when we express our love and thanks to God. While we enjoy this time of corporate worship to the Lord, we also recognize that it is a very personal time as well. Please feel free to participate or simply sit and listen. Following worship we have a time of sharing. More on this below…

I have heard that there is a sharing time during the service? What is this?

Built on The Vineyard Church’s understanding that everyone gets to play, we have a sharing time at the end of our worship service. This is a time for the church to share what they are hearing from God. It might be a word of prophecy or scripture, a vision or testimony.

The invitation is for us to build up one another so consider the following before sharing:

  • Is the word is for the church and not just for you?
  • Is the word is to strengthen the church?
  • Is the focus is on what God is doing or saying?

If you are lead to share:

  1. Please introduce yourself.
  2. Please be concise.
  3. Please keep the focus on what God is doing, or what he has done.

If you are unsure if your word fits these parameters, please share it with a leader after service – we are glad to help you discern appropriateness.

“What then, brothers? When you come together, each one has a hymn, a lesson, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. Let all things be done for building up.”

1 Corinthians 14:26

Will I be asked to give money?

No. Our church is supported by the voluntary giving of our members and friends. Voluntary giving is a thankful response to all that God has given us. Many members give a “tithe,” or 10% of their earnings, as a well-established pattern in the scriptures. Gifts given to the church cover the costs of the building, staff, and ministry needs. You are invited to give as God leads you.

Gifts can be given electronically or in person. Cash and check gifts can be dropped in the buckets or a the locked donation box near the building exit. You can give electronically using the QR code in the bulletin you were given when you arrived or at ithacavineyard.or/give.

I would love someone to pray with me. Can you help?

Of course! Not only does our leadership love to pray with people, but you will find many in our church are blessed to as well. Jesus promised us in Matthew 18:20 that, “where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” After the service people will be available in the front right to pray with you. You can also leave a written prayer need on the card in the bulletin you are given when you arrive, placing the card in the bucket near the door as you leave the fellowship hall. If you would like prayer at another time, please reach out to us at prayer@ithacavineyard.org
