Women in Ministry: Choosing and Living up to God’s Design, Promise, and Calling
This week we continue our series in First Corinthians. We heard from speaker Peyi Soyinka-Airewele with a message expanding on last week’s message by Elijah Grubb, encouraging women who feel called to ministry.
Discussion Questions:
- God has called each of us, brothers and sisters, to serve him fully wherever he sends or places us. But we must confront and overcome many obstacles (some internal and some external), to do so. What factors in your life have limited your ability to know, to be, and to do what God wants for you?
- Mary of Bethany battled past religious and social traditions and cultural expectations in order to attain spiritual growth. The Lord was pleased with her choice and he promised that it would not be taken from her. Luke 10:38-42. What do you need to choose to do to prepare yourself to serve and fulfill God’s calling on your life?
- Pray for one another. Also pray for the body of Christ that we will humbly accept God’s sovereignty and encourage each other in fulfilling our calling with the gifts God gives. Pray that there will be forgiveness where we have hindered fellow heirs of grace from serving God in the calling of Christ and the Holy Spirit on their lives.
