Christmas for Teen Inmates

December 11, 2021 10:00 am  |  Fellowship Hall of Christ Chapel

Hello Saints! We are on for our annual shoebox Christmas for the teen inmates at the Finger Lakes
Residential Center in Lansing NY (and, as supplies permit, inmates at the more secure McCormick
Secure Center in Brooktondale).

The plan is to provide from the suggested list below Christmas gifts for forgotten juvenile offenders.
Often we pool items and then “shop” the pool for our boxes. WE WILL MEET TO GET APPROVAL OF
THE GIFTS FROM THE FACILITY STAFF AND THEN TO WRAP GIFTS DECEMBER 11, 10 AM
IN THE FELLOWSHIP HALL OF CHRIST CHAPEL
. If you can’t be here to wrap, supplies can be
dropped off at Christ Chapel by prior arrangement – text or call Steve Felker 607-262-0545 or email the
Chapel at office.christchapel@gmail.com.

Beyond the list below, I relay from our sister Dee, staff in the Social Activities Department:
If there are folks who would like to purchase gifts for the entire facility such as iTunes music cards,
Board Games or up to PG 13 movies, we could utilize those items for the group. If folks would like to
make monetary gifts for staff to shop for the children, then best is either cash or gift cards to Walmart or
Target.
