For the month of March we are focusing on the prayer team ministry, and I wanted to take a few minutes to fill you in on what the prayer team is about.
Presently there are 23 members on the team and of these 23 more than ½ do what is known as “post prayer”. These are the people that are available to pray with people in the prayer room after the services.
All members of the prayer team receive the prayer requests and answers to prayers that are written on the connection cards. We try to get these requests sent out by Sunday evening and they are prayed for during the week.
There are times we do contact people to seek more information so we can know better how to pray or to see if we can help in other ways to meet their needs. There are times we see if people would like to get together to talk in person so they know that we really do care.
As a team we will get together throughout the year. There is usually food involved and always a good time of fellowship. We use these times together to see how people are doing, to discuss thoughts and ideas, to set goals and plans for the next year, and to pray for each other. If you are interested I would be more than happy to let you know what our goals are for this year.
We have seen some amazing things happen in the prayer room and we have seen and heard of prayers answered. There have been physical healings, peace and rest came into difficult and stressful situations. Prayers have been answered for exams, and lives have been restored. Please remember that nothing is too big or too small for God to handle, He is interested in every part of our lives. Also please know that all requests are kept confidential.
